Workjam, a digital workplace solutions provider, has acquired Forge, an on-demand staffing platform, marking the company’s second acquisition in 13 months. In January 2019, Workjam acquired employee communications software provider Peerio Technologies.
With this acquisition WorkJam is seeking to deepen its investment in open shift marketplaces, flexible scheduling for employees and self-service scheduling for frontline workers and managers. The deal brings together two companies with similar profiles: Workjam aims to optimize customer experiences through an enabled store associate, and Forge seeks to bring more autonomy to the associate experience.
Financial terms of the acquisition have not been disclosed, and it is unknown whether the Forge platform will be integrated into Workjam’s solutions or operate alongside them. The WorkJam Digital Workplace platform is designed to streamline scheduling, communication, training and task management capabilities into a unified ecosystem.
Stacey Ferreira, CEO and Co-Founder of Forge, will join WorkJam as Director of Digital Workplace.
