The National Retail Federation (NRF) has elected two new members to its board of directors, Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply, and Anish Melwani, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton.
Prior to joining Tractor Supply in January 2020, Lawton served as President of Macy’s for two years. Earlier, he held SVP posts at eBay and Home Depot.
Anish Melwani has been in his current position, where he leads all LVMH activities in North America, since January 2016. He joined LVMH after 16 years at McKinsey.
“Hal Lawton and Anish Melwani have shown exceptional leadership during the past few months as our country and the retail industry have faced the coronavirus pandemic and heightened racial injustice,” said Matthew Shay, NRF President and CEO in a statement. “Their involvement with the NRF board will be instrumental as we work to reopen businesses, bringing the economy with them, and get America back to work.”
