Target has made several changes to its executive team, prompted by the retirements of long-serving leaders in store operations and information technology. Mark Schindele, EVP and Chief Stores Officer, will be retiring after 25 years with the retailer, and he will be replaced by Adrienne Costanzo, currently SVP of Store Operations, effective Feb. 2, 2025.
EVP and CIO Brett Craig, retiring after 15 years with Target, will be replaced by Prat Vemana, currently EVP, Chief Digital and Product Officer, who will take on the role of Chief Information and Product Officer. Target also is promoting Sarah Travis, currently SVP for Roundel and Social Commerce, to EVP, Chief Digital and Revenue Officer.
“These leadership updates will help us continue to deliver a differentiated shopping experience every day across every channel,” said Brian Cornell, Chair and CEO of Target in a statement. “I want to thank Mark and Brett for the notable contributions they’ve made during their long tenures with the company and wish them both well in their retirements. Adrienne, Prat and Sarah all bring tremendous retail expertise to their roles and Target’s leadership team as we accelerate Target’s strategy.”
