Beyond has reconfigured its C-suite, including recognition of an “increasingly active” role for Executive Chairman Marcus Lemonis. The company, which owns the Overstock, Bed Bath & Beyond and Zulily brands, also will eliminate its co-Chief Executive roles and dual Chief Merchant roles.
Beyond has streamlined marketing and merchandising functions across all three of its brands under Dave Nielsen, who has been appointed President, overseeing marketing, merchandising and supply chain functions for the company. Other changes include the departure of Chandra Holt, who was named CEO of Bed Bath & Beyond just four months agoin February 2024. Adrianne Lee will continue in her role as Chief Financial and Administrative Officer.
Executive Chair Marcus Lemonis revealed his plans for the company in May 2024, including the revival of its Overstock brand and the return of Bed Bath & Beyond’s assortment to its historical categories.
“As a company, we are intent on achieving profitability,” said Lemonis in a statement. “We believe margin improvement, SG&A reduction, efficiency and alignment are the key factors that will get us there, and we are therefore streamlining and flattening our organization to reflect what we believe will yield greater efficiencies and better results.”
