Chairish, an online marketplace for vintage furniture, has unveiled Drop Off & Go, a packing and shipping service designed to cut the time and cost of shipping for sellers.
With more than $260 billion in annual sales, the U.S. home furnishings category has been slow to move online, in part due to shipping challenges. Until now, individual sellers have had to pack items themselves, which requires time, money and packing expertise. The Chairish Drop Off & Go program provides a professional packing expert to handle packing and shipping.
Sellers using the service print out a Chairish shipping label, which includes a prepaid packing code, and drop off their sold items at any UPS Store franchise location. The company offers sellers a fixed packing cost that is based on the size of the item. Chairish insures all items shipped through the program against loss and damage.
