Saks Fifth Avenue has redesigned the seventh floor of its iconic New York City flagship store to house an expanded menswear assortment and showcase top brands. The 40,000-square-foot space for advanced designer and contemporary ready-to-wear offers more than 70 brands (23 of which are new to the store), along with 19 new shop-in-shops of highly prized men’s fashion brands including Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Balmain, Burberry, Dior Men, Dolce & Gabbana, Fendi, Gucci, Thom Browne, Valentino and Versace.
The retailer also is strengthening its commitment to male shoppers with an invite-only men’s brand ambassador program called The Saks Man. This diverse group of influential men from the worlds of sports, entertainment, business and activism will promote the digital luxury platform’s marketing campaigns and product launches, create custom content for Saks’ digital channels, and attend and host both virtual and in-person events. The group complements the retailer’s women’s brand ambassador program, Saks Social Club.
“Our men’s business has experienced significant growth over the past several years, and Saks continues to be the destination that shoppers look to for the latest in men’s luxury fashion,” said Tracy Margolies, Chief Merchandising Officer at Saks in a statement. “The new men’s floor in New York reinforces the power of the in-store experience and exemplifies Saks’ reputation as a fashion authority. We are excited to continue investing in the men’s category both online and in-store through our exclusive partnership with the Saks Fifth Avenue stores to further solidify our position as the ultimate destination for men’s luxury fashion.”
For the renovation, the retailer’s internal store planning and design team collaborated with Highland Associates to showcase the curated men’s fashions and create an easily navigable setting. A modern staircase featuring dichroic glass (which gives off two different colors) connects the sixth and seventh floors to create a seamless men’s shopping experience.

Windows along Fifth Avenue that had previously been blocked have been restored to flood the space with natural light, and extended aisle paths and new lounge seating areas encourage socialization and exploration. In a centrally located atrium space, the department will showcase emerging designers and new-to-Saks brands on a rotating basis.
Saks added more than 125 brands to its men’s offerings on Saks.com in 2022, and the site now features a dedicated men’s home page providing tailored product recommendations and curated content like trend stories and influencer-curated product arrays. The retailer also offers exclusive virtual shopping experiences with men’s designers and industry experts on its digital events platform, Saks Live.
