Princess Polly, the Australian fashion retailer that has become a Gen Z favorite, has earned B Corp status thanks to its commitment to sustainable product sourcing and employee support initiatives. The certification spans the entire Princess Polly business and recognizes the retailer as meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency.
“We are deeply honored that Princess Polly’s commitment to purpose-driven practices has been recognized with a B Corp Certification,” said Eirin Bryett, Co-founder and Co-CEO of Princess Polly, part of a.k.a. Brands Holding Corp., in a statement. “This is an incredible accomplishment, and it marks a significant step in our ongoing journey to embed sustainability and purpose into every part of our business.”
Building Sustainability into Supply Chain and Sourcing
Princess Polly’s four core impact areas are: ethical partnerships, equality and community, sustainability and environment. The retailer is scaling the use of certified lower-impact materials across its collections with tools like the Lower Impact Fabric Hub, a resource to help suppliers integrate preferred materials into production, and the Materials Matrix, a decision-making tool that helps design and buying teams opt for sustainable materials at every stage of production. All Princess Polly garments are subject to stringent testing to help ensure durability, fit and finish, lengthening their product lifecycle.
The retailer also works closely with supply chain partners to actively reduce carbon emissions, promote circularity and uphold ethical sourcing, with the goal of advancing beyond compliance to create lasting positive impact. Employee initiatives include Pathway to Parenthood, which provides support to Princess Polly employees through family planning and parenting with paid reproductive health and parental leave, flexible work options and a culture of care and inclusion.
