Consumer expectations have heightened as the retail experience has expanded across new channels and devices. While in stores, shoppers expect associates to be knowledgeable about the products they are selling, and want them to be mobile on the sales floor.
In an effort to help associates provide better in-store service, Bouncepad has launched Luna, a dock and charge enclosure for tablet devices that can be used in multiple scenarios, such as fixed self-service or mobile selling.
Luna is designed to complement tablet-based assisted selling platforms, such as Apple and IBM’s Sales Assist, which places live product information, inventory and customer history in the hands of employees as they move around the store.

The system features a contact charging dock to display and secure tablets. Docks can be spread throughout the store, enabling quick and easy access. When a customer needs help, associates unlock the devices from the docking station by tapping an RFID key fob. The hardware also can be mounted on walls or counters, allowing users to flip the screen, adjust the viewing angle and dock from either direction.
