Kohl’s has rolled out its Buy Online, Pick Up In Store service to all 1,164 stores nationwide. Originally, the retailer tested the initiative through a pilot program of 100 locations.
The service is currently available for all customers who shop online from their desktops or laptops, and will be available to mobile shoppers later in 2015.
While shopping online, consumers now are able to see if a specific item is available at their local Kohl’s store. After selecting the “Pick Up In Store” option, they will complete the transaction through the web site and receive two email messages — the first confirming the purchase and the second indicating when the item is available for pick up. All orders placed before 5:00 p.m. local time typically are ready within four hours, according to the company web site. Upon arriving to a store, customers can park in a spot designated for “Pick Up In Store,” and find their items at either the customer service desk (for non-jewelry merchandise) or the fine jewelry counter.
