Jim Miller, who has served as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) for Wayfair on an interim basis since August 2019, will take on the role permanently. Miller draws on decades of experience, including leading large teams at companies including Google, Amazon and Cisco.
“We are fortunate to have had the benefit of Jim’s leadership and perspective, both as a long-time board member and an interim CTO,” said Niraj Shah, CEO of Wayfair in a statement. “Jim’s track record of strong leadership at fast-growing, large scale technology companies makes him the ideal fit to guide our 3,000+ person engineering team, and to continue to build a world-class technology infrastructure that further strengthens our position.”
As CTO, Miller will continue to lead the product and engineering roadmap for the tech-enabled furniture and home décor retailer.
Before joining Wayfair, Miller was CEO of AREVO, and served as VP of Worldwide Operations at Google from 2010 through 2018. Earlier in his career, Miller served as VP of Supply Chain at Amazon, where he was responsible for the inception of the company’s supply chain organization and was a key contributor to Amazon’s growth.
