Walmart Leaks Details On New Shipping Program

Walmart has unveiled more information than intended on its new shipping program designed to compete with Amazon Prime. Details on the initiative, called ShippingPass, were leaked via an internal link on Walmart.com, according to Tech Crunch.

While the link was live, consumers were able to register for ShippingPass, view the geographies the service was available and learn which products were eligible for free three-day shipping. Walmart has since emailed consumers who registered through the link to apologize, and offered them a $50 eGift card for their troubles.

Although the ShippingPass link is now defunct, consumers can still join the waitlist for the program.
