Abercrombie, the adult apparel brand of Abercrombie & Fitch Co., opened a new flagship store in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood on June 5, nearly doubling its footprint in the corridor and introducing a first-ever “Heritage Meets Modern” design concept.
According to the company’s press release, the new store is located at 520 Broadway between Spring and Broome Streets and spans three floors, reflecting the brand’s 134-year history in New York.
The location debuts an expanded assortment of men’s and women’s apparel, including the brand’s signature denim and Office Approved collections, as well as a first-ever accessories section carrying footwear, sunglasses and bags. Exclusive New York City and USA merchandise will be available only at select locations. The store replaces a smaller Abercrombie location that had operated at 547 Broadway for approximately three years.
Abercrombie’s Expanding Footprint
The SoHo opening was referenced directly on the company’s Q1 fiscal 2026 earnings call in late May. CEO Fran Horowitz said the company’s traffic and sales data from the Broadway location showed customers wanted a broader assortment, calling the new store “our best expression of the Abercrombie Brands to date.”
She added that the company is “in our fifth year of net store expansion for Abercrombie” and is “continuing to invest in other new stores across key markets to support long-term growth.”
The Abercrombie brand has delivered several consecutive years of significant growth, though recent quarters reflect tougher year-over-year comparisons.
According to the company’s fiscal 2025 full-year earnings release, the Abercrombie brand generated net sales of $2.52 billion, down 1% year over year.
The company maintained its company-wide full-year fiscal 2026 outlook for net sales growth of 3% to 5%, with growth expected across brands, including Abercrombie’s sister brand, Hollister.
