15 More Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus Stores to Close

Published: March 9, 2026

Saks Global will close an additional 15 stores as it seeks to right-size itself following its 2025 bankruptcy, which took place just a little over one year after the company had completed its acquisition of Neiman Marcus. These latest closures follow the shuttering of nine stores in February 2026: eight Saks Fifth Avenue locations and one Neiman Marcus, in Boston’s Copley Place.

The next group of stores slated to be closed include 12 Saks Fifth Avenue stores and three Neiman Marcus stores. Following these closings, Saks Global will operate a total of 13 Saks Fifth Avenue stores and 32 Neiman Marcus stores; there will be no changes to the Bergdorf Goodman operational footprint.

According to a company statement, Saks Global has “largely completed the optimization of its footprint but continues to engage with landlords as it works to make final decisions on its go-forward network of stores.”

“Our go-forward store portfolio will comprise the best-performing and most desirable locations in markets with the highest concentration of luxury customers, enabling us to deepen loyalty and drive sustainable growth,” said Geoffroy van Raemdonck, CEO of Saks Global in a statement. “With a refined footprint, we are creating a strong platform for our brand partners and an even more compelling customer experience.”

Select markets will be left with either a Saks Fifth Avenue or a Neiman Marcus brick-and-mortar store based on considerations such as performance and customer preference, with Saks Global continuing to operate both banners in leading luxury destinations that represent growth opportunities.

In February 2026 the bankruptcy court approved $1 billion in new funding for Saks Global.
