Terra Interiors wanted to showcase the potential of its products during associate appointments with clients. The millwork and modular furniture retailer/manufacturer relied on The Picturesque Studio and Principal Architect Priya Doon to design a 5,200-square-foot destination within the Plaza Mall that immerses clients in the different environments they could create with Terra Interiors’ products.
The façade was designed with privacy in mind; The Picturesque Studio installed wooden slats positioned diagonally over the glass windows at the entrance of the space. These slats conceal the showroom’s interior but reveal an engraving of the Terra name when viewed from a certain angle.
The store consists of three sections — a reception area, a showroom and a staff workspace. The reception area features a warm wood veneer inlaid with gold metal and features veneered walls. An olive-hued sofa and oval wood coffee table with a cylindrical side-inlayed base welcome guests with stylish comfort.
Terra Interiors features four distinctive kitchen designs to showcase styles that rely on industrial, modern blended with traditional, neoclassical and minimalist influences. When guests explore one kitchen showcase, the others are not visible, which allows full immersion into a single room design. Each kitchen space features samples of cabinets, shutters, glass, countertops, refrigeration, cooking ranges and wine storage.
Another room, which features an example of Terra Interiors’ walk-in closet designs, was created using dark wood tones. The centerpiece is a storage island topped with a glass display case. Shelving options, storage units and mirror styles also are featured within the walk-in closet showcase.
Featuring the latest options in home design technology and innovation is an ongoing priority for Terra Interiors, so these elements can easily be changed to ensure Terra Interiors can remain current with the latest trends and innovations in home design.
