Ceridian’s Dayforce, an employee management platform capable of handling human resources, payroll, benefits, workforce management and talent management, has added On-Demand Pay. The tool offers workers more autonomy by letting them request pay as soon as their shift is over rather than forcing them to wait on a set schedule.
Professionals can access employee payroll data in real time at any given point within the pay period, rather than waiting until 18 hours after the period has ended. The tool also continuously calculates net pay and can share employee information instantly across the entire application.
The On-Demand Pay feature is integrated into the wider platform, which can optimize management across the entire employee lifecycle, including attracting, engaging, paying, deploying and developing workers. Other features of the solution include:
- Empowering administrators to make adjustments and change course for more complicated items like bonuses, retroactive payments and deductions;
- Automatically calculating, withholding and filing payroll taxes in line with local, state/provincial and federal regulations to ensure compliance;
- Enabling workers to access their own pay information from their mobile device; and
- Control over functions such as number of requests, number of requests and timing of requests to limit use of feature.
