Harvey Nichols, a UK-based luxury fashion retailer, has selected Stacey Cartwright as the new CEO for all Harvey Nichols Group companies.
Cartwright replaces Joseph Wan, who was at the helm as CEO for 21 years. She will officially join the company starting Feb. 17, 2014.
“I am delighted to be joining Harvey Nichols at such an exciting time in the luxury retail market; a market which demonstrates significant potential and for which I have enormous passion,” Cartwright said. “I am excited by the opportunity to further develop this world class brand both in the UK and internationally.”
Prior to joining the Harvey Nichols C-suite, Cartwright was CFO and Executive VP of Burberry Group Plc. During her nine-year tenure, Cartwright helped transform Burberry into a top luxury brand, helping to increase company revenue from $1.1 billion in 2004 to more than $3.3 billion in 2013. She also helped the brand expand into new markets, including China and the Middle East.

“Nothing gives me greater pleasure than handing over to Stacey a stronger Harvey Nichols than the one I joined,” Wan said. “I wish Stacey well in her new role and under her leadership, I look forward to seeing Harvey Nichols growing from strength to strength.”
