Yankee Candle has selected the Toshiba TCxWave POS solution to help modernize its in-store technology and accommodate future growth. The retailer and manufacturer will deploy 1,400 TCxWave systems across its stores in North America and the UK during 2017.
“We selected Toshiba’s POS solutions to support our new retail infrastructure because of the unique design, durability, product road map and ability to strengthen our customer engagement,” said Dave Harris, VP of Information Technology at The Yankee Candle Company in a statement.
At the 2017 NRF Big Show, Toshiba introduced three new platforms as part of its offering, including:

-
TCxTM Elevate, designed to complement, enhance and extend in-store capabilities, with minimal impact to an existing POS environment. Retailers will be able to leverage new Toshiba applications, better integrate with third-party solutions and even build their own. Initial Toshiba applications include TCx Elevate Utilities, TCx Elevate Pre-Scan and TCx Elevate POS Marketing;
-
TCxTM Pay, a semi-integrated payment solution that provides retailers with a single end-to-end solution that addresses payments needs and enables merchants to accept EMV chip cards from major processor platforms; and
-
TCxTM Simplify, designed to help retailers with new ways to invest in scalable solutions and fit both budget and business needs in one monthly payment with 36-, 48- and 60-month terms.
Toshiba also is expanding its offering of Consulting, Professional, Managed and Client Services experts to provide insights and foresight for retailers.
