Fabletics, an activewear brand co-founded by actress Kate Hudson in 2013, will open 12 new retail locations in 2017. The brand already has 18 locations that have been open since fall 2015.
The company’s retail locations are selected based on customer insights and market data. The first opening of the year will be in Frisco, Texas in March 2017, followed by Indianapolis, Ind.; Lexington, Ky.; Schaumburg, Ill.; Boulder, Colo.; and Portland, Ore. in the second quarter of 2017. Finally, additional Fabletics stores will open in Scottsdale, Ariz.; Cerritos, San Jose, San Francisco and San Diego, Calif. and Paramus, N.J. beginning in July 2017. Most of the brand's new stores will be mall-based and average 2,200 square feet.
"Our inspiration for the store was clear and simple – we aimed to bring a hint of the active lifestyle elements that shape our customers' lives inside while keeping the main focus on our amazing product offering and delivering a seamless customer experience,” said Dustin Netral, SVP of Operations for Fabletics in a statement. “Less is more. Ultimately, the store was designed to enhance our overall brand experience, inviting customers in to touch, feel and see the high-quality fabrications, latest innovations and newest designs, while making it as easy as possible for them to shop the way they like."
