Lavi Industries, a provider of queue management and customer flow solutions, has acquired a 50% share in customer frequency technology provider Qmetrix. Lavi made the acquisition through its German affiliate, crowd control and public guidance solutions provider Via Guide Gmbh.
As part of the new partnership, Lavi Industries will handle sales and marketing duties, and will serve as the sole worldwide distributor of the Qmetrix solutions.
The Qmetrix solutions are designed to measure, monitor and manage waiting lines and other areas where people move through or congregate in the store. The technology captures customer frequency data points such as queue time and queue length utilizing sensors designed to measure in-store traffic accurately. From these data points, the solution can create arrival profiles or throughput rates which can be accessed in real-time via customer-facing display monitors and back-room dashboards.
