Starbucks Raises Salaried Workers’ Pay by 2%

Starbucks has increased pay by 2% for its salaried workers, which includes store managers, manufacturing and distribution workers and corporate employees. The relatively modest increase was first reported by Bloomberg and confirmed by Starbucks.

Starbucks appears to be trying to keep a lid on salary increases for its hourly workers as well as salaried employees. The coffee giant is in the midst of negotiations with the Workers United union, which represents more than 10,000 Starbucks baristas, and in April 2025 the union rejected a proposal from the company that guaranteed annual raises of at least 2%, saying the offer didn’t include any immediate pay hikes or improved benefits, according to Reuters.

In February 2025 Starbucks eliminated more than 1,100 support jobs, following a January announcement by Chairman and CEO Brian Niccol that the retailer was taking a careful look at how its support teams are organized.
