Don’t forget to check out this week’s retail roundup of news items you may have missed!
Nordstrom
Named The U.S.’s “Favorite Fashion Retailer”: A survey from Market
Force Information revealed that American consumers rate Nordstrom the top
fashion retailer in 2015, earning a 58% overall satisfaction rating. Marshalls
came next after Nordstrom at 53%, while H&M and Ross Stores tied for third
with 51%. This is the fourth consecutive year that Nordstrom led the Market
Force list, although the department store’s Composite Loyalty Score actually
dropped 8% from last year.
The study found that Nordstrom’s in-store personnel attended
to customers the most often, and also ranked highly in terms of its atmosphere,
size range, and checkout experience.

Google is partnering with retailers such as Costco, Whole
Foods and Nob Hill Foods to set up the service. If the service is successful in
the two test markets, it may expand to other Google Express cities.
Saks
Fifth Avenue Expands To Canada: Saks Fifth Avenue has officially opened
its first Canadian store location in downtown Toronto. The store is located in
the Hudson’s Bay Co.’s flagship location. The chain has 38 stores in the U.S.
as well as five international locations. Marc
Metrick, President of Saks Fifth Avenue, said the expansion took more than
100,000 hours of work through a stretch of three years.
Honest
Co. Sued Over Misleading Labels: In a cruel twist of irony, a fraudulent
labeling complaint has been filed against Honest Co., the e-Commerce company
co-founded by actress Jessica Alba.
The complaint, filed by Brad and Manon Buonasera in a U.S. District Court in Manhattan, targets Honest’s marketing of at least 41 items such as floor cleaners, laundry detergent, children’s toothpaste, and soap and bubble bath items.
That’s all from the RTP team. Enjoy the rest of your week!
