Zebra Unveils Two Enterprise-Grade Tablets To Empower Business Productivity

Zebra Technologies has introduced the ET50 and ET55 tablet computers to its enterprise-grade label, designed to increase workforce productivity and meet organizational application needs.

The tablets are available with the Microsoft Windows 8.1 or Android 5.1 (Lollipop) operating systems, and consumers can choose one of two different display sizes.

The Android version of the ET50/55 tablet computer comes with Zebra’s Mobility Extensions (Mx), which provide device management and data capture capabilities as well as Zebra’s AppGallery app store.

Both tablets’ accessory ecosystem includes:

  • Vehicle mount cradles for service technicians, delivery drivers and salespeople on the road, and a forklift mount designed to handle most warehouse environments;

  • Advanced scanning capabilities that can rapidly capture photos, NFC tags and barcodes in many situations;

  • Hot-swappable batteries that augment the built-in battery and deliver power to field service, transportation and logistics, retail, warehouse, manufacturing and government employees.

The ET50 features Wi-Fi connectivity, while the ET55 adds 4G LTE cellular connectivity, and both models offer a capacitive touch display that enables gloved or ungloved usage, and the ability to use a stylus or a finger for annotating and capturing signatures.
