Pacsun will open its first store outside the U.S. early next year at Mall of the Emirates in Dubai, in partnership with shopping center operator Majid Al Futtaim. Over the next five years, the companies plan to open up to 20 stores across key markets in the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries: Bahrain, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates (UAE), including flagship stores in the UAE’s major cities, Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
These brick-and-mortar locations will be supported by regional ecommerce platforms and experiential activations, kicking off with a pop-up at the Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix 2025, taking place Dec. 7 and featuring an Abu Dhabi-inspired collection from Formula 1 and Pacsun.
“Expanding into the UAE, one of the world’s most dynamic and youthful regions, marks a pivotal step in Pacsun’s global journey, guided by a deep commitment to connecting with Gen Z and Gen Alpha by listening to how they express themselves, connect and influence culture,” said Brieane Olson, CEO of Pacsun in a statement.
“Pacsun’s arrival in Dubai signifies much more than a new brand entering our portfolio; it’s a celebration of youth culture and creativity,” said Fahed Ghanim, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Lifestyle in a statement. “The partnership highlights our position as the partner of choice for global brands seeking meaningful expansion in the Middle East.”
Last month, E.l.f. Beauty expanded to the GCC countries via an exclusive partnership with Sephora, which operates 70 stores in the region.
