Today only, the NBA Store on New York City’s Fifth Avenue has been transformed into the first-ever WNBA store with a little help from the Meta Quest virtual reality headsets. The 10-hour “W All Day” takeover event is designed to promote the second half of the WNBA season, which will tip off with WNBA All-Star game on July 19.

During the W All Day event, fans will be greeted with in-store experiences featuring WNBA legend Sue Bird, New York Liberty mascot Big Ellie and limited-edition merch. Fans also will have the opportunity to try out Meta Quest’s immersive courtside experience and play virtual Pop-A-Shot games alongside creators, with high scorers winning exclusive WNBA merch.

In addition to celebrating the growing prominence of the WNBA, the activation also aims to showcase Meta Quest’s growing role in sports fandom. This season, Meta Quest is giving fans free access to 20 live WNBA games — including five immersive broadcasts — along with interactive experiences in the NBA Arena within the Horizon Worlds virtual environment.
