Kelly O’Neil, Senior Director of Business Strategy for Oracle talks about how personalization is affecting e-Commerce retailers. “At the umbrella level, personalization is about … guiding the consumer to the best products and services for them in the easiest way. It’s this notion I like to call ‘guided serendipity.’” In regard to organizational changes across retail, O’Neill says she is seeing the most successful models involves more cross-functional business groups and breaking down the silos in the organization.
