Walmart is doing its part for all those hardy souls who promised that this would be the year they would take better care of themselves. The retail giant has launched Better Care Services, a digital hub providing access to a curated network of third-party urgent care and behavioral health providers, as well as access to Lilly Direct pharmacy services.
Walmart also has lowered prices on more than 1,000 wellness-focused items spanning food, supplements, OTC products and fitness essentials. Earlier this month, Walmart competitor Target announced its own plans to beef up its wellness assortment by 30% this year.
Additionally, Walmart has partnered with Stranger Things actress Millie Bobby Brown on an exclusive fashion line for teens and young women created by Delta Galil USA.
Walmart to Offer Health Consultations, Prescriptions and a Nutrition Hub
Better Care Services users can get a same-day consultation and then take advantage of flexible pickup and delivery options for both OTC and prescriptions, including free delivery for Walmart+ members. Additionally, because good eating habits have a major impact on health, the platform includes Walmart’s Nutrition Hub, an opt-in, AI-driven experience delivering personalized food and recipe recommendations to support healthier, budget-friendly choices.
“We know that when healthcare feels hard, many people don’t get the care they need. We can fix that,” said Kevin Host, SVP for Health and Wellness, Pharmacy at Walmart in a statement. “Better Care Services is about making wellness simple and affordable to fit into your life; we’re removing barriers so more people can get the care they deserve, right when they need it.”
While Walmart has long offered health-related services, the retailer moved away from actually operating clinics in April 2024, when the company closed down all 51 health centers it had been operating, calling the business model “unsustainable.”
New Fashion Line Aimed at ‘Fashion Curious’ Teens
Mills by Millie Bobby Brown, the new exclusive fashion line at Walmart, features a combination of delicate touches like floral appliqués, embroidery and lace finishes along with features such as built-in shorts and bras for ease and comfort. The assortment includes dresses, skirts, tops, denim, sleepwear, bralettes, briefs and matching intimates sets, with prices starting at $10.50 in intimates up to $26.50 for wide-leg jeans, and the collection is available at 750 Walmart stores and on Walmart.com.
“This collection is made for the fashion curious girl to play in, experiment with and make their own with a fun selection of colorways, graphics and special details,” said Brown in a statement. “It was very important to me for this brand to be accessible to millions through our collaboration with Walmart!”
“Walmart is on a journey to democratize fashion and Mills by Millie Bobby Brown delivers on the trend-right style and aesthetic our customers are looking for, at the incredible prices Walmart is known for,” said Ryan Waymire, SVP Fashion, Walmart U.S. in a statement.
