Discount retailer Family Dollar will offer on-demand delivery from its approximately 7,000 stores nationwide via the DoorDash platform, and Old Navy has partnered with DoorDash for deliveries from its 1,000+ stores.

“Partnering with DoorDash allows us to make shopping easier and more accessible for the millions of families who rely on us every day,” said Chris Hooks, President and Chief Commercial Officer at Family Dollar in a statement. “Whether it’s everyday essentials or last-minute needs, we’re committed to delivering affordability and convenience in every way we can.”

Family Dollar officially separated from former parent company Dollar Tree in July 2025 to become a standalone company under the ownership of private equity companies Brigade Capital ManagementMacellum Capital Management and Arkhouse Management. In May 2025 Family Dollar partnered with Uber Eats for delivery from its more than 5,000 stores.

Branching Out into Apparel Delivery

On-demand delivery platforms such as DoorDash have been steadily expanding their partnerships with a wide range of retailers and brands, moving well beyond the groceries and food deliveries that were their starting point and into apparel and other categories.

“We like to meet customers where they are — on their terms,” said Haio Barbeito, Old Navy’s Brand President and CEO in a statement. “For us, that means removing friction and adding joy, making it easy for our customers and their families to get what they love, how and when they want it. Partnering with DoorDash brings that spirit to life by introducing same-day delivery — a whole new value proposition that helps customers save both time and money. It makes shopping for great style as simple and accessible as ordering dinner or groceries.”

“We’ve seen increased demand for on-demand apparel, and partnering with an iconic brand like Old Navy marks an incredible milestone in delivering scale, value and convenience for consumers nationwide,” said Lee Brown, Chief Revenue Officer at DoorDash in a statement. “As one of the first major apparel retailers on our platform — with more than 1,000 stores across the U.S. — we’re bringing Old Navy to tens of millions of monthly active users on DoorDash.”

In August 2025 DoorDash partnered with Ace Pickleball Club to become the clubs’ official on-demand delivery and pickup platform, and in September 2025 DoorDash launched DashMart Fulfillment Services, following in the footsteps of Amazon, Walmart and Shopify. Earlier this month, 1-800-Flowers.com added DoorDash to its portfolio of delivery options.
