Global apparel and lifestyle brand True Religion is expanding further across the U.S., bringing its total store count to 51. After opening its newest outpost at Katy Mills in Katy, Texas on May 30, 2024, the brand will open three additional new stores throughout the month of November. The stores’ locations and their respective opening dates include:
- North Star Mall in San Antonio, Texas, opening on Nov. 8, 2024
- Kings Plaza in Brooklyn, N.Y., opening on Nov. 15, 2024
- Orland Square in Orland Park, Ill., opening on Nov. 22, 2024
True Religion prioritized these cities based on consumer demand and is “augmenting our online business with stores in select markets that allow our shoppers to experience the brand in-person,” True Religion CEO Michael Buckley told Retail TouchPoints. “Our strategy has always been to be very deliberate when deciding whether and where to open new stores. Many different considerations come into play, but the biggest decision for us is that we just want to be wherever our shoppers are. It’s the through line that permeates everything we do at True Religion.”
True Religion opened its first new store since 2019 in September 2023 at the Cumberland Mall in Atlanta, exceeding soft opening projections by 67.9%. The brand has continued to take a “selective” and intentional approach to new store openings and is using influencer-led omnichannel marketing campaigns and in-person activations that drive community. For example, the brand recently unveiled its latest holiday campaign featuring Grammy award-winning and entrepreneur Megan Thee Stallion, which will include behind-the-scenes content, social media takeovers, holiday-inspired Q&As and more.
