Couch Commerce: How Tablet Shoppers Are Changing Online Sales [Infographic]

 
Consumers are shifting their focus from bulky desktop and laptop computers to lighter mobile devices, such as tablets. In fact, it is estimated that close to 119 million tablets will be sold in 2012, with iPads accounting for the lion’s share  (70%). Experts predict that between 2012 and 2016, worldwide iPad sales will increase 132%, totalling $169.6 million. Consumers are now accessing e-Commerce web sites via their tablets while in their living rooms (96%), bedrooms (94%), home offices (75%) and porches (70%).
