PetSmart has partnered with Grubhub to offer on-demand delivery of more than 14,000 items from its 1,400+ locations in all 50 states. PetSmart already offers delivery via Instacart as well as Uber Eats, and in October 2021 the retailer partnered with Allivet for pet prescription deliveries.

For its part, Grubhub has been steadily expanding its roster of delivery partners into new verticals beyond restaurants: in June 2024 Grubhub added Albertsons as its first national grocery partner and inaugurated a delivery partnership with Starbucks. Grubhub had partnered with Rite Aid for deliveries in November 2022 and added CVS in February 2024.

“Now with PetSmart, we’re giving our customers the ultimate convenience of getting more of what they want delivered right to their door,” said Craig Whitmer, VP of New Verticals at Grubhub in a statement. “Americans are investing in their pets more than ever, and I’m thrilled that customers can cater to their pets’ needs where they already order their favorite meals, grocery and convenience items.”
