NRF to Debut Supply Chain Event in 2022

Supply chains came under intense scrutiny with the advent of COVID-19 as new safety protocols, worker shortages in manufacturing countries and a range of shipping delays slowed the global movement of goods. These developments, along with a growing focus on sustainability initiatives, are behind the debut of NRF Supply Chain 360, which will take place June 20-21, 2022 in Cleveland.

Hal Lawton, President and CEO of Tractor Supply Company, will be the opening keynote speaker on Monday, June 20. He will discuss the retailer’s investments in its distribution centers, its $2.5 billion commitment in planned capital expenses over the next five years and customer delivery trends.

The event will include an exhibit hall as well as sessions covering a range of supply chain and sustainability topics, including:

  • Operational planning and cost management;
  • Human capital;
  • Fulfillment;
  • Distribution, warehouses and fulfillment network operations; and
  • Sourcing and product development.

“Retailers have experienced significant supply chain disruptions and sustainability demands over the last 18 months,” said Matthew Shay, President and CEO of NRF in a statement. “As these issues continue to evolve, it will become increasingly critical that retailers of all sizes have access to a diverse and robust supply chain to operate successfully. We are convening industry experts to provide a holistic look at the modes and methods needed to build an expansive supply chain ecosystem that will remain self-sustaining for decades.”
