Ikea will open a Plan and Order Point as its third store in the Dallas-Fort Worth market on Nov. 29, 2023, offering design consultations as well as a location where customers can pick up their online orders. The 10,800-square-foot location in Southlake joins two large-format stores in Frisco and Grand Prairie, Texas.

Customers can book appointments with Ikea experts while they design, quote and order Ikea products, and while customers won’t be able to take products home directly, Ikea can arrange for delivery or schedule orders for pickup at the location next door.

“We’re ready to say ‘hej’ to our new neighbors and support them by providing sustainable and affordable furnishings,” said Ben Sandoval, Market Manager for Frisco at Ikea U.S. in a statement. “Our expansion in DFW is just one of the many exciting ways Ikea is growing with the aim of making the customer experience more inspiring, more convenient and even more affordable.”

In April 2023 the retailer revealed plans to invest more than $2.2 billion to enhance U.S. omnichannel operations, including opening nine Plan and Order Point locations.
