Loop Returns, the return platform for Shopify brands such as Allbirds, FIGS, Princess Polly and Chubbies, has joined with its competitor Happy Returns by PayPal to offer box-free, label-free drop-off for U.S. consumers at 5,000 Return Bars across the country.

The Shopify brands use the Loop platform to help them retain revenue with returns, which Loop says occurs on 40% of exchanges.

After starting their returns process online, shoppers at Loop-powered merchants can complete the process at a local Happy Returns by PayPal Return Bar. These use reusable totes in place of cardboard boxes to package returned items, which supports an easier and more sustainable process. By relying on partnerships with reverse logistics providers such as Happy Returns, Loop is able to provide an array of return options including home pickup, product donation and item consolidation.

“Making returns beautiful has always been our mission — whether that experience begins in our portal, a partner’s portal, or the merchant’s own portal,” said David Sobie, Co-founder and VP of Happy Returns. “We know the majority of shoppers prefer to return items box-free and in-person, because their returns are instantly approved and they get their money back faster. We’re thrilled to empower more of Shopify’s best merchants to offer this option through Loop.”
