Swift Shopper App Provides Free And Simple Approach To Mobile POS

A new application available on Apple and Android mobile devices, available from Swift Shopper from ezCommerce Solutions, is designed to reduce retail time and labor. The solution runs on legacy POS equipment and requires no integration or hardware maintenance.

Customers are able to download the app to their phones or tablets for free then scan barcodes as items are placed into shopping carts. At checkout, instead of unloading and reloading their carts, customers hand their devices to a cashier who scans the barcodes with the in-place 2D barcode scanner, and shoppers pay their typical way. Swift Shopper also supports in-app and social media advertising, couponing, loyalty cards and rewards points.

A cloud capability furthers reduces checkout time: The Swift Shopper user hits “checkout,” store prices are pulled from the cloud, and the purchase is completed through the customer’s mobile payment app.

Swift Shopper was created by Naomi Wilson, a stay-at-home mom with sales and marketing experience.

“The Swift Shopper app successfully bridges the gap between old-school traditional cashiering and the much more cost-prohibitive mobile point-of-sale options,” explained Wilson, now Owner and President of ezCommerce Solutions. “It allows retailers to boast their technological prowess without any upfront cost or new cashier training on their part.”

Compare Foods, an East Coast supermarket chain, recently implemented the Swift Shopper app. For more information, click here to read the Retail TouchPoints news story.
