TechStars Cloud has introduced Postmaster, a cloud-based platform designed to help SMB businesses ship small packages and fulfill orders more efficiently.

By taking a data-driven approach to shipping and order fulfillment, Postmaster provides data on best shipping rates and maximum efficiency, according to a TechStars Cloud press release.

At launch time, Postmaster supported UPS, USPS and FedEx.

Brooks Brothers Extends Digital Presence With New E-Commerce Strategy

Brooks Brothers has launched a new e-Commerce site on the Demandware Commerce enterprise cloud platform. The new online store is expected to provide improved operational efficiencies and better economics, and will be integrated into new merchandising and store systems. In addition, Brooks Brothers plans to use Demandware for international expansion, according to a Demandware press release.

“We want to serve our customers in the most exceptional ways regardless of which channel they choose to engage with us,” said Ken Seiff, EVP, Direct and Omni-Channel at Brooks Brothers. “This means knowing their preferences and providing a personalized shopping experience at all times.”

Shopatron Relaunches Brand Based On Allied Commerce Initiative

, a provider of cloud-based e-Commerce order management solutions, has launched a new core service model ― Allied Commerce ― as part of the provider’s market expansion strategy. Allied Commerce targets more convenient and affordable fulfillment options by allowing branded manufacturers and multichannel retailers to leverage the available inventory of offline storefronts and distribution centers, according to a Shopatron press release. The initiative is at the center of a full-scale relaunch of the Shopatron brand.   

In addition, Shopatron announced the broad market availability of the Shopatron Retailer solution for multichannel retailers, key new leadership within the sales organization, and anticipated customer growth targets.

WhaleShark Media Changes Name To RetailMeNot, Inc.

WhaleShark Media, an online marketplace for coupons, deals and special offers, is changing its corporate name to RetailMeNot, Inc. The transition will take place during the next few weeks.

WhaleShark Media acquired RetailMeNot.com ― a portfolio of coupon and deal web sites ― in 2010. It has since grown RetailMeNot.com “into the leading online coupon web site in the U.S., with more than 450 million worldwide visits in 2012,” according to Cotter Cunningham, CEO and Founder of RetailMeNot, Inc. “[Our mission] is to operate web sites that are leading destinations for consumers globally who seek coupons and deals from tens of thousands of retailers.  We remain equally committed to the success of our retail partners who will continue to benefit from our scale to reach new customers and drive sales.” HP, Kohl’s, Lenovo, Macy’s and Target are among those retail partners.
