Target is taking a new approach to the store-within-a-store concept with the launch of The Shops at Target. The mega retailer is partnering with four select boutiques each season to co-offer limited-time apparel and home collections. Following the initial launch on May 6, 2012, the retailer has announced via its online magazine a new series of shops in the program.
“The Shops program is the latest chapter in Target’s commitment to providing affordable, innovative design to our guests,” said Kathee Tesija, Executive VP of Merchandising for Target, in a press statement. “For the fall installment of The Shops, we’ve selected four premier boutiques to help us co-create limited-time collections guests will embrace as they update their wardrobes and homes with the season’s must-have trends.”
The fall installment of The Shops at Target will feature the following boutiques:
· The Curiosity Shoppe (San Francisco), a home accessories, gift, craft and game merchant.
· Kirna Zabete (New York City) a women’s apparel, handbag and jewelry retailer.
· Odin (New York City), a men’s lifestyle store.
· PATCH NYC (Boston), an art, home décor and candle retailer.
