Price Chopper and Market 32 supermarkets, banners of The Golub Corp., are taking a fresh approach to direct store deliveries. For the 130-plus stores located throughout the Northeast, Park City Group’s Scan-based Trading solution will help support a new go-to-market strategy for DSD vendors.
“DSD products are notoriously difficult to manage at the shelf,” said Blaine Bringhurst, Senior Vice President of Sales, Merchandising and Marketing at Price Chopper. “Park City Group’s Scan-based Trading solution will provide us with a progressive way to manage our DSD vendors while lowering our costs and inventory investment.”
Price Chopper is seeking greater efficiencies in DSD receiving, lower operating expenses, easier payments and sales increases of 3% to 10%. The retailer hopes to obtain these benefits through greater visibility into the performance of products delivered via DSD.
