After launching a new e-Commerce site built on Oracle Commerce, Chemmart Pharmacy has tripled average order size and reported an increase in higher-value and non-prescription product purchases, according to an Oracle Retail press release.
When planning the Chemmart.com.au site, Australia-based Chemmart focused on the goal of maintaining and improving its localized focus. The site launched in April 2014.
“With the help of Oracle’s support and experience, we have been able to launch an e-Commerce solution that aligns directly with our brand values,” said Andrew Vidler, General Manager of Retail at Chemmart Pharmacy. “From a customer perspective, this local approach has the benefit of continuity of care and the convenience of choosing between home delivery or collecting the order at their local pharmacy.”

Customers visiting the Chemmart.com.au site are required to select their local store before browsing and purchasing items, or scheduling health checks or other services. Shoppers also are able to select in-store pickup or home delivery for their e-Commerce orders.
Chemmart is planning to add mobile capabilities in 2015.
