Adiant Acquires inSparq

MA adiant 072115

Adiant has acquired inSparq in order to expand its social commerce capabilities. inSparq’s technology analyzes both the products that shoppers share on social media and what those customers purchase — allowing retailers to provide on-site recommendations, targeted email promotions and online ads in real time. Terms of the acquisition were undisclosed.

“Our acquisition of inSparq is a direct result of the need to continue to develop digital solutions for retailers and brands,” said Ash Nashed, CEO of Adiant. “We not only want to provide a solution, but one that is best-in-class and taps into the unique power of social media. inSparq gives us an opportunity to create the first-ever socially trending product ad that will have access to a base of over 550 million monthly uniques across the globe. This will allow brands and retailers to engage with their audience at a scale and in a way that they never have before.”

Adiant currently offers a content-style native advertising platform for the web. By integrating the inSparq technology into its solution, Adiant will be positioned to combine a social recommendation engine with a digital advertising platform. This allows retail marketers to optimize ads with relevant, socially trending products and provide content to targeted segments. The acquisition also adds retailers such as American Apparel, DrJays.com, giggle, and Newegg, to Adiant’s existing client roster.
